Natural Disasters Field Trip

I am taking a Natural Disaster class this semester and for  part of the class, we go on a FIELD TRIP. To see a lot of the stuff we've been talking about.

This is a scarp from an earthquake that occurred in Yellowstone. The earth shifted up...I think it was 13+ feet.

This is a huge landslide that happened not to long ago. The place where I am standing is a grave for those who were covered while camping.

This house was covered with water when the water level rose due to factors associated with the rockslide. There is a story of an old lady that jumped 5 feet from her house to land on safe ground as her house disappeared behind her.

Another house in the same area.

It was so beautiful!
